New Street Lights installed on N 38th Avenue

July 15, 2020 - Progress continues on the City of Hattiesburg's N 38th Avenue Boulevard project! Last night, beautiful traditional street lights were installed along the new sidewalks the city recently completed with work underway to build medians to add greenery between the traffic lanes.  Please thank Mayor Barker and City Council Members Jeffrey George, Deborah Denard Delgado, Carter Carroll, Mary Dryden and Nicholas Brown. for the continuing investment in the Midtown Project which should be completed by the end of the year.

Improvements are Coming to N 38th Avenue

May 11, 2020 - New improvements are coming to N 38th Avenue,  including new asphalt, medians, lighting improvements and a new traffic light at N 38th and Montague, in addition to a new 8' multi-use path! Thanks to Mayor Barker and the Hattiesburg City Council for their commitment to updating our infrastructure and revitalizing this important corridor to improve our quality of life! Work will resume in mid-May and will continue through the end of the year.
